West Jones goes 3-0 at the NEJ Tournament

ELLISVILLE – Northeast Jones and West Jones each went 3-0 in the Northeast Jones Tennis Classic here Saturday at the Howard Tennis Complex at Jones Junior College. Game recaps are listed below:

West Jones 3, Seminary 2
Matthew Martin defeated Ryan Smith 6-1, 6-0. Savannah Davis and Mary Alice Howard defeated Lindsay Gunn and Toni Brooks Purvis 6-0, 6-1. Mason Seidenburg and Dillon Mooney defeated Jack Grosby and Austin White 6-1, 6-0.

Mary Jo Goodin defeated WJ's Mandy Wilson 6-0, 6-1. Noah Sanford and Barbara McClendon defeated WJ's Dylan DeLoach and Leslie Wilson 6-0,6-2.

West Jones 3, Wayne Co. 2
Dillon Mooney defeated Adam Hinton 7-6, 6-2. Stephanie Smith defeated Juliane Metzko 6-0, 6-3. Mary Alice Howard and Savannah Davis defeated Loren Rowe and Britton Baker 6-2,6-4

Koby Palmer defeated Nick Carr and Mason Seidenburg 6-2, 7-5.
Corina Kopps and Kendall Holderfield defeated Cade Sherman and Rachel Jefcoat 6-2, 6-3.

West Jones 4, Union 1
Matthew Martin defeated Will Marston 6-1, 6-4. Mary Alice Howard and Savannah Davis Kylie Rigdon and Ashley Barnett 6-4, 7-5. Nick Carr and Cade Sherman defeated Ken Ferguson and Ethan Breland 6-3, 6-3. Mason Seidenburg and Rachel Jefcoat defeated Rebecca Massey and Zach White 3-6, 7-6, 7-5

Grace McMann defeated Stephanie Smith 7-6, 6-2.

West Jones 7-4 will host Quitman at 4 p.m. Tuesday at JCJC.
